As of now, there are 8 character concepts that are kept short and consize to visualize the possibility of character building, two characters are worked out in detail as it should be in-game, 3 skill trees and various options to personalize the experience throughout the game.
Gunslinger, born into a time, when advanced technology and fully mastered magical energy were becoming symbiotic partners to humans and earths development. Though he was a genius in making use and developing the most up-to-date technology, he always loved the wild west. The hands on problem-solving, the simplicity of enjoyment, the carelessness of living a primeval life, he always felt drawn to those times. He attempted something that had been forbidden to even experiment on, he wanted to travel back in time. The technology when pushed a bit further was able to influence and partially control time already, but its use was usually limited spatially and in its extent. It was forbidden to experiment with time in any way that could influence the past, because it was globally agreed upon, that no individual neither a group, could carry the consequences of what could happen when things would go wrong.
But it was Jonathan's life desire and back then...rules were made to be broken. With a time travel device that he had created, he travelled back in time. On his first attempt to travel into the past, he missed his time exit and went back a bit further than the wild west. He ended up in an age in which magic was much more it's core unbent form than in his time. In his curiosity, he decided to adventure around, instead of attempting to travel back to the right time. But to his kismet, it didn't take a long adventure, for him to fall in love with a witch, a witch named Kolahna. Out of some days of adventuring, it became months and then years…but as it was in relationships, there were heated conversations between both parties, one thing led to another and things escalated for both. Later, Kolahna found out Jonathan was cheating on her with a lot of different women in a nearby city. Though this was not a big deal for Jonathan since it was a common mutual understanding in his time to not bind those superficial activities to love, it was something Kolahna couldn't let sit on her. So she cursed him with dark magic, which from then on, would go on costing him his life…but only in ways he would deserve.
The witch wanted him to suffer, as she did when she found out. Her love for him and the pain she experienced was deep. When Jonathan was back in their house, she was gone and without knowing what had happened, he just considered the fact that she just vanished over some bad phase in a relationship. He was broken…but he thought it was a sign of her weak love and tried strangling his inner feelings for her from that moment on. What he didn't know back then; every time he faced a woman, at the point where he would have inner excitement towards the woman, she would turn into a beast attacking him.
Surviving the first few times through his wit, he soon realized, every time he would kill one of the woman turning into a beast, some type of dark energy within him would grow stronger and his left arm would change its appearance more and more. When the dark energy first started interacting with his devices, he realized he could use its power to charge his technology in ways like never before. The egoist he was, he started to harvest this energy from women turning into beasts, sometimes even without killing them, depending on his mood. His curse became his weapon, his desire for woman his source of energy, and his gun the deadliest weapon of its time. But soon he realized that all of his strength was in fact, not because he worked for it, but also due to his advanced technology he brought from the future. His ego was slowly not satisfied anymore. So he wanted to travel back, to acquire the same status in his time. But traveling back and forth with so many discontinuities was a divinely forbidden thing, which he didn't know. In his travel to the future, he was pulled out of the time travel rift, and was thrown into the Arena, without understanding what was happening, being ripped out of his reality.
Gunslinger, upon arrival, ironically felt like home. Having all the time to reflect, he could see what impact Kolahna had on his life and how she was just not able to curse him with a deadly spell and instead just something “silly” like this. For the first time, thinking about all of what happened and for the first time understanding the nature of this curse...he had to smile about the unwanted gift she made just because she didn't want to kill him, but make him suffer. He concluded that it must have been the same suffering she endured when he slept with other people, her love, he thought, suffered under his actions. At that moment of realization, he felt remorse for the first time. He didn't seem to feel too much remorse over the innocent women that died, death was something rather irrelevant for both of them, in those terms they found each other well. But the true love, which always existed inside him that was eaten up by his ego, started growing again, the warm feeling, the attraction to her, towards the woman who cursed him. And at that moment he felt the dark energy being less of a threat to him, something that needed less control but was soothing and became a part of his own energy. Something that would help him in the Arena, to become a champion and go back to the only woman who would from then on matter in his life, in both deep and superficial ways. With the black magic, he carved her initials into his weapon and a tattoo on his arm, to never forget where his heart lied. Now it was time to beat the Arena and go back to her.

Scythenist, formerly known as Katah De Zeus was not always associated with death, for her appearance and her judgements. She was living on a farm with her parents during her childhood, up until one day, as it was back in times of kings and queens, her family fell victim to the royals.
A lot of different traumas were put in her way to salvation, after she had already lost everything. But nothing that could take her will away to revenge before she would be leaving this world. Though where she lived, magic was a thing that was far away, her unstoppable feet and will to revenge, kept her walking until she reached such places, that could promise her some way to revenge. But loss after loss, her sanity was suffering in keeping up the idea of at least a bit of revenge for what happened to her family.
And when suffering, sadness and chaos are the only things that define someone's aura, especially in a place of magic... darkness is drawn like a magnet. And when the words are uttered: “I would give my soul eternally for the salvation of my family” the words do not pass unheard. One day, Katah could find herself standing in front of a scythe, that would emit an aura that even her mortal non-magical being could feel. She was questioning herself if she was finally heard and picked it up, allowing the scythes power to synchronize with her. The power she was feeling, was enough to stabilize her insanity for once in her lifetime and allow her to see clear goals. It was ironic, given the fact that it was the Scythe of the God of Chaos. She was the perfect carrier for that scythe in this human world, her synchronization hadn't caused even the slightest conflict within her.
Every person that had made her suffer, got it back ten-folds, before they were allowed to meet their creator. This was just the beginning of her journey, words spread around, and she became the hero of many people, that had suffered under groups and people that had treated her unworthy of a human. Though it was not her intention, she couldn't care less about what was being talked about her, she just had one ultimate goal in her mind, death of all kings and queens.
One day, when there was a war upcoming between two kingdoms, Katah now more established as Scythenist, stood up against both fronts at once, leaving behind a war field with no winners but death only. Following her act of destruction, she went on for the annihilation of both royal families. After bringing them into the midst of the war field, to allow them to die within the destruction that they had caused. Going one by one, she was taking one family member from each side of the royal families to set their lives to an end. Coming to the Kings of both sides, right when she was about to end their lives, she was pulled out of reality. The amount of destruction and chaos she had caused in the human world and would have caused further on, by killing the Kings, through an artifact of such order, was enough to be picked up by the god of order. A god that had created an Arena for outlaws of divine order, a jail for people to meet other people of the same scale, to see and learn, to be better. Like the other contestants, she was not wiped out of existence but allowed to win another chance for another life, wiped out from her debts and placed back into her time. Granted with the knowledge they had gathered until then, by promising to live a normal life.
The two Kings she had left alive, in their grief and trauma of what had happened, had sworn to never do any harm to any humans ever again. They were the only ones left on the battlefield, with their dead families in front of them and their dead army behind, having lost everything, like she did when the royal family was on tax collection. The effect, she ironically had, was of enough good nature to have caused a difference in the history of humanity. With that knowledge, she was for once happy in her own body and had enough motivation, to win and go back, to a world that would be in her eyes a little different from before. There was work to do.
Scythenist has two main skill paths to follow upon in the game. The player can choose to develop Dark Arts and grow a scythe that turned back into a small hand scythe when she reached the Arena. Or she can go for Weapon Arts, allowing her scythe to be a small magical secondary weapon rather than her main priority in handling enemies.
Scythenist Original Appearance
Scytehnist Futuristic Version
This skill tree will be unlocked differently depending on the amount of skill points spent on the other two trees.
Scythe Unleashing
Leveling this ability increases the damage, range, speed, and size of the scythe.
Scythe Shield
Using this ability creates a shield in front of the user, in the size of the inner curving of the scythe. This shield does not cover the entire body, if the player isn't ducking, the legs can be damaged for example. This shield can be used as long as the user holds the button pressed, or the shield is broken.
Awk: Dark Arts
This ability tree is unlocked, when the "Dark Arts" Tree, has X amount of points. The cast speed and cooldown of the abilities in that tree go down and on the last level, the damage goes up.
Awk: Weapon Arts
This ability tree is unlocked, when the "Weapon Arts" Tree, has X amount of points. The cast speed and cooldown of abilities in that tree go down and on the last level, the damage is higher.
Dark Arts, this skill tree unlocks new abilities which can be used independently with the scythe only when it's equipped as the active weapon in use.
Scythen
Scythenist attacks the area in front of her and creates a big slash wave, which damages and throws back the enemy.
Scythusion
This ability creates two clones next to the Scythenist, but it's random, whether it is two clones on her right side, left side or one on each side.
Dark Shifting
Using this ability Scythenist, can move quickly to the right or left, and become dark smoke during that duration and damage is reduced to a minimum of X%. After the movement stops, a small smoke area is created. Can be used in combinations with active Scythusion.
Nightmare Jump
This ability lets Scythenist teleport behind the enemy. The range of this ability is extremely short on low level, and it only works on enemies who were damaged by a teammate or Scythenist herself before. Anti-Isolation: If the enemy has allies nearby, Scythenist deals X% more damage, and if alone she deals X% less damage.
Weapon Arts, this skill tree allows using weapons/rifles in combination with the scythe, the scythe being held on the left hand while the rifles on the right
Scythenblast
Scythenblast shoots a black sphere out of the scythe. It can be used during the active use of the weapon (somewhat like a grenade launcher add-on of a weapon, but without having to switch modes), this deals AOE damage and “breaks armor” of enemy.
Scyboost
This ability gives the co-equipped weapon a higher fire rate, in case of semi auto however a damage boost (Active duration)
Scyrang
Scythenist throws the scythe straight, in a medium distance and as quick as an arrow, which comes back to her like a Boomerang. The hit target gets bleeding damage, a small fixed damage, and is marked by the scythe to receive more damage incoming from her.
Scythe Destiny
This ability let's the Scythe float around Scythenist and creates x more small Scythes that encircle her as well. During the use of this ability Scythenist can't make use of any ability above with lowered cooldown. Scythenist gains a 25% dodge chance on bullets during the active of this ability. If she brings the hp of her enemy down to a certain percentage, including previous damage done, the Scythe flies to the enemy to execute them on the spot. (Doesn't execute people completely after they are bleeding on the ground)
Axeni has sensed a growing instability within the dimensional fabric, a tear that threatens to unravel reality itself. She believes Ensorena is the epicenter of this disturbance and has entered the arena to contain the threat before it spills over into other realms. Her peacekeeper role extends beyond just physical threats; she safeguards the very structure of reality.
Solaris believes she is the daughter of a sun god, but one who was rejected and cast down to the mortal realm. Her burning aura is not a gift, but a curse – a constant reminder of her divine parent's disdain. She enters Ensorena seeking a way to prove her worth, to earn her place among the gods, or perhaps to take vengeance upon the celestial being who abandoned her. Her fiery justice is fueled by resentment and a desperate need for recognition.
Kael is not a god, but a mortal touched by lightning. The electrical energy that flows through him grants him visions of the future, glimpses into the intricate web of fate. He has come to Ensorena seeking answers, hoping to decipher the cryptic messages hidden within the storms that rage around him. He's less interested in conquering the arena and more focused on understanding the greater forces at play. His powers are as much a curse as a gift, constantly bombarding him with fragmented and often confusing visions.
Nyx was once a ruler of a subterranean kingdom, a realm of perpetual darkness. She was betrayed and overthrown, cast out into the mortal world. She seeks to reclaim her throne and rebuild her empire, and she believes that the power within Ensorena can help her achieve her goals. Her presence in the arena is a calculated move, a stepping stone on her path to regaining her lost power.
Magnus isn't in Ensorena to fight, but to study. He's heard whispers of powerful magical artifacts hidden within the arena, artifacts that could revolutionize his research. He's not interested in the glory or the combat; he sees Ensorena as a living laboratory, a place where he can push the boundaries of his inventions and unlock the secrets of arcane science. He downplays his reliance on magic, preferring to call it "applied thaumaturgy" or "controlled mystical resonance."
Razeth is a master of infiltration and assassination, a whisper in the wind, a shadow in the sand. He's not in Ensorena for glory or power; he's here on a mission. A powerful emperor from his home world has tasked him with eliminating a specific target within the arena – a rival ruler, a dangerous revolutionary, or perhaps even a god. His skills with sand and dark matter make him virtually undetectable, a phantom capable of striking without warning
Zephyr is a protector, a guardian of the innocent. She's drawn to Ensorena by the suffering and conflict, sensing a disturbance in the balance of the world. She sees the arena as a place where she can make a difference, a place where she can protect the weak and punish the wicked. Her angelic appearance reflects her pure heart and unwavering dedication to justice
Tharia isn't just connected to nature; she is nature, or at least a powerful embodiment of it. Her home realm was ravaged by industrialization, the natural world twisted and corrupted by technology. She's in Ensorena not to heal, but to learn. She believes the arena holds ancient secrets, forgotten magic that could help her reclaim her world and unleash nature's vengeance upon those who defiled it. Her healing powers are not just for others; they're a way for her to connect with the life force of the arena, to draw strength from its natural energies.
